U765 Well, I got going at 7:30 knowing that I had lake Pepin to transit. Everything I've read has led me to believe there was a possibility of unpleasantness. Unpleasant it was. Strong winds, big waves, and a long day. I'm glad it's behind me. I considered this lake to be a hurtle. It's done. I'm having some trouble making the 35 miles a day I need to make to finish the end of Oct. That date will get me home before Lindsay gives birth. It will also allow jenny to pick me up in N.O. she has told me I'm on my own if I go much into Nov. I might need some help at the end. The end is a long way off. Much can and will happen. In closing I'd like you to know that it's supposed to freeze tonight and there's a ton of poison ivy behind my tent.
Hopefully that tail wind will show today.Yesterday sounded like a struggle...warm up and get along. back on the river....Paula
