U 465 Today was somewhat of a snoozer. I did 2 locks, 14 & 15. I paddled through the quad cities. That's Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, and Bettendorf. I'd never heard of Bettendorf but somehow they got included. I mentioned to the lockmaster at 15 that I hadn't seen any barge traffic in a couple of days. He told me that the COE guarantees a 9 foot depth and that below his lock it was only 7.5. They were dredging a few miles down stream. It was quite an operation. Our tax dollars at work. I think I'm only a week or so above St Louis. Jenny is maybe going to meet me somewhere up in that area. I'll need a resupply fairly soon.
