U410 The wx today was supposed to be rain and wind. I got monsoon and hurricane. But first. I saw thousands of birds this morning. There were cormorants in huge flocks and thousands of white pelicans flying around in circles looking confused. I think a migration is in the works. Now the wx. It hadn't started when I broke camp but I got dressed for rain because the forecast said 100%. It started, it got worse, it began to blow and then it began to really blow. Using skill and cunning I was able to stay somewhat sheltered from the horror that was occurring on the lake above lock 18. I eventually had to cross the lake to get to the lock. I won't go into the details because I'm trying to forget. I somehow made it through the lock and immediately pulled over. I pitched the tent and here I am. If things don't improve, here I will stay. I will never forget my approach to lock 18. I'm making memories baby.
It sounds as if the fun gets more amplified as the days go on. My only worry is that when this big ball of fun comes to an end, you'll not know how to act in the real world....oh wait your retired so who cares. The house of Williams are tracking your daily progress, and wishing you happy, and efficient paddling.
