U 543 way better today wind wise. The warm temps and south wind was replaced with cooler temps and a strong NW wind. Anything with north or west in it is good for me because I'm headed south and east for the most part. I did lock 12 today. It's in Bellevue Iowa. It's a for real town. I left the boat below the lock and found a subway sandwich shop and had a real lunch. I went to their grocery store and bought a few things. I really needed some cup a soup packets and I was delighted to discover that they carried them. I just ate the last 6 inches of my lunch, for dinner. I'm making banana pudding for desert and I'm washing it all down with Bourbon and lemonade. I'm physically fine so far and I think my head is holding together. However, there is a long way to go. I am reading your comments on the blog. I appreciate your interest. It helps. There is a lot of monotonous grind to this trip. I think keeping my head screwed on straight will be the make or break. Your continuing interest will certainly help.
Dave we are pulling for you and check you blogs each and every day.
