L 950 Kentucky is now the left shore. I did the confluence with the Ohio river this afternoon. There is a park there but it's a little run down. I needed to replenish my drinking water and there wasn't any that I could find. The river has gone from big to gargantuan. I last 1 MPH of current, which could possibly have consequences. Maybe it will pick back up. I think this version of the Mississippi is the big boy version. I'm in a 17 foot kayak for crying out loud! I'll need a few days on this new version before I'll get my confidence back. I'm going to have to filter some water and that's going to take some time so I will have to cut this short.
No posting yesterday?...hope that you aren't still making some drinkable water..just keeping following the river and be careful of the big boys.
