U1215. At 2Am jenny woke me up to inform me of the imminent arrival of a thunderstorm. We had not completely prepared for rain so we had to get up and do a few things. It rained, and thundered, and lightninged for about 45 minutes. I was somewhat amused that jenny went immediately back to sleep after our foray outside and missed the storm. I think she has been doing this awhile. The paddling today was good. The frontal passage gave us a north wind and we were moving mostly south. We didn't like the vibes at the camp I planned on so we went another couple of miles to another one, so we're still technically ahead of schedule. The 2 pics are me going to the river to do dishes and stopped for lunch. We are 2 days from Grand Rapids and our first hotel stop.
Looks good Dave, Steve does alot of dishes now that he is also retired, keep up the good work, thinking about you on the river. Sister, Pat
ReplyDeleteDave please make sure you don't shave. I want to see a long beard! It looks even more adventurous. I'm trying to explain this adventure to Aubrey!
