It begins tomorrow

Jenny and I are sitting outdoors at a restaurant I paddled by a couple of hours ago. We are in Minneapolis. I did something like 35 miles today. Tomorrow Jenny & I split up. It's something we've got to do but neither one of us is too cool with it. Tomorrow Jenny links up with the Hoschs. She & Beth will try to non-rev home on the 12th. Dean will drive the car back to Tega Cay after a visit with his mom.

  1. Dave and Jenny,
Have a GREAT first solo day, David....I guess you will be solo too Jenny.Let the river be like your yellow brick road, David...follow it and have challenges(flying monkeys) but soulfilling days, too, as the river becomes your partner now. Paula

  2. Hey Dave-there you are with a loaded boat, all alone again headed down the Mississippi with all you can tote! Here you are with Jenny left behind, what is going thru your mind? Paddling-paddling with no one behind! Does your boat shine, as you go on your way? Or is it just another day? Miles ahead-don't think how many, just keep going and think about Jenny. The miles will come and go and soon you will send a call from the Gulf-to say hello. Good speed Dave. Your sister, Pat
