It started at 3 AM

L 630 The cold front blew in at 3. My dome tent became a pancake tent. I am actually amazed nothing broke. I spent 30 minutes supporting It and then the wind backed off a  little. Initially it didn't rain so the sand I was camped on found its way inside the tent. Did I say that I'm happiest when I'm miserable?  Boy was I happy, happy, happy. There was no point in trying to get any more sleep and besides I wanted to break camp before the rain started. It got going good around 9. It was pretty bad all day. Rain, drizzle, fog, and a cold wind. I told myself that after 30 miles if I saw a decent place, out of the wind, I would stop. I found a pretty good spot behind some trees on the downstream side of a wing dike at 35 miles into the day. So,here I am. It's still raining but its supposed to stop tonight. Should be close to freezing and windy tomorrow morning. What happened to fall?
