  1. Dave, what you are doing is traveling on a big river that has been flowing for many many years....thousands of years..if you can escape the here and now you might hear those voices...you are really surrounded.

  2. U milage how nice to be done
Now working on L milage-how fun
Creeping, paddling down to New Orleans
Paddling on the Mississippi and spoiling
    The rivers run.Making miles behind
With miles sublime, forever paddling on
    to an end in mind.
Memphis a few miles ahead, to meet your Jenny
with your head held high and saying HI! I made
it this far how high can I go in this Kayak you know. My boat is old-been thru alot-you know, not to mention all the locks, now barges rush and push me to places I don't see. My boat takes care of me, gets me out of tight spaces you see. I am sure she is getting tired of some of the tight spaces and wants to retire to normal spaces. Dave, I am sure your boat(kayak) has served you well and needs to rest after this hell(Oops but rhymes well) Dave good luck and good speed on the L part of this trip I think of you daily. Pat
