L 750 I'm 15 miles above Memphis. Should be there by 11 tomorrow. Jenny is listed on the early flight so she should be there when I paddle up. I'll be leaving my boat at Mud Island Marina. The front that brought the rain yesterday gave me a west wind today. The river has been doing some loop de loops and I was headed west a few times. Anyway, I got in a position today where I was in the wrong place at almost the wrong time with regard to current, wind and tow boats. I ended up pulling like a banchee on my paddles for 15 minutes to get to a safe place. Once there I got out of my boat, ate lunch and watched things from shore. It was pretty hairy. The wind has begun to die a little as the sun is setting. Jenny has suggested an early start to avoid a repeat of today's experience. It's Memphis tomorrow. My last resupply.
